Yours is the most thoughtful and well-written summary on this that I've seen on the 'net. I've been staying up way too late reading way too much about this. I agree with all of what you've said.

It's an "official website" showing the pipe spewing the oil into the ocean. If you look at 28 seconds, you'll see the reflection of someone *COMING THROUGH A DOORWAY*. That "pipe" that's 5000 feet under the sea is actually a tank somewhere. Sigh.
Frankly, I think we're in trouble deep. I'm of the opinion that the whole thing was made 100x worse by the Corexit chemicals being dumped (100 million gallons last I heard) into the Gulf waters.
I swear, I think they're trying to kill us off. I can come up with no rational explanation to this insane behavior.
