Google search

I'm going to stop using Google. I think they are in cahoots with Obama and they are seeming to try to get all the info on a person that they don't need. I just read that Al Gore is on their board! Well, that did it for me and I'm not using google again. I'm going back to Ask.com until I hear that they are just as bad as Google. Whistle

IMO google sucks anymore, they've "dumbed" down their search engine, it seems to only provide "vanilla" searches anymore. I use to be able to find a ton of stuff on any subject but now it's like they're "feeding" you what THEY want you to find. And yes I believe they're in cahoots with obama as well, there are a bunch of "ex" google employees who work at the white house now. Also George Soros is in another business with one of the google execs and I do not trust George Soros for nothing, he's got his crooked little fingers in too many pies, IMO it was HIS money that got obama elected and IMO HE is the one who is still pulling obama's strings.

RE: Google search

I hope ASK.COM isn't connected to Gore and Soros etc. I used them all the time years ago but somehow on my last couple of computers Google was the one that was my default. Not now,I went into FireFox and put ask.com as my default. I'm probably kidding myself that there is a difference but it makes me feel better anyway. Cheesygrin

RE: Google search

Thanks for all that info jwu. I used to use Excite but then I heard from people that Excite wasn't safe and being new to computer world 12 years ago I chickened out and stopped using it. Same with Yahoo(I had heard yahoo tried to take control of your computer so again I chickened out and stopped using it). LOL,I guess I must have been really afraid of crashing my computer or messing it up so bad that I couldn't use it. Anyway, years ago I used AskJeeves and just lately I've switched back to it(only now I guess they go by just ASK. I'm probably just kidding myself that it isn't going to collect any personal data but until I hear different I will keep using it.
